Which materials and geometries is the software suitable for?

For all materials, geometries and surface colors. Glossy or matte, simple or complex. As long as the defect is visible to the camera in some form, VisionCheckAI can learn to detect it.

Can different components be inspected with a single model?

Yes. Different parts, sizes or views can be combined in a single model. This makes VisionCheckAI ideal for product families.

What requirements do I need to meet?

An existing NELA inspection system with VisionCheck software. No additional local software installation is required.

How many images do I need for a stable model?

Around 20 images are often sufficient (OK + NOK). With approximately 100 images, the model becomes even more robust.

What is data augmentation and why is it important?

VisionCheckAI automatically generates numerous variants from just a few original images, for example through rotation or changes in sharpness. This turns small datasets into a robust, production-ready model.

How long does a training process take?

Usually only a few minutes. The exact time depends on the model and the number of images and is displayed as an estimated duration.

Can the AI also check dimensions?

For measurement tasks requiring proven measurement system capability, we deliberately rely on our conventional image processing. The AI is specialized in detecting surface defects and can be combined with conventional image processing for measurement tasks.
